About Me

I’m Wendy Blackheart.

So. Who am I?

I’m 26. I’m fucking awesome. I mean, I have a pink and silver sparkly paisley cowboy hat! And have you seen my ass? It totally rocks. So does my mohawk!  How could I not be awesome?

Want to tell me how awesome I am? Have a question? Want me to teach one of my classes? Need to get in touch with me for any other reason? I welcome emails.

The best way to get in touch with me is via email.

Wendy . Blackheart @ gmail . com
I’m on Fetlife and Twitter you can message me through those places, but I absolutely loathe their message systems. Email is best.

I do not instant message with people.

I won’t have cybersex with you, or write you dirty stories.

I won’t give out my phone number.

Now. Some bio stuff.

Name

Wendy Blackheart.

if you want to be proper, Ms. Wendy Blackheart, Lady of Naugahyde

And yes, it is Ms. I don’t care for Miss, and I won’t be a Mrs. anytime soon. I’m one of *them*. I even correct people when they refer to me as Miss Blackheart.

Obviously, its not my real name. (Honestly, if you thought ‘Blackheart’ was my real surname…) But it is the name I prefer to go by.

I did not choose to be Wendy. A fellow blogger gave me the name, because she felt that I ‘looked like a Wendy’.

I liked it though. While not outlandish, Wendy is still a rather unique name. There are not many Wendy’s out there.

It just seemed to fit. Like a second skin. So I stuck with it. I actually feel more comfortable being called Wendy than I do being called by my ‘real’ name. Even kids at school call me Wendy. Hell, the only people who don’t are teachers, stubborn class mates, and my family.

Blackheart came last.

I never really pondered a last name, until I started setting up things asking for my last name and I didn’t have one.

Since I already had the blog titled ‘Heart Full of Black’, ‘Blackheart’ wasn’t all that far away.

It also pleases my Gothic sensibilities.

The title? Well, I am the Lady of a very well established and rapidly growing pleather family known as House Naugahyde. We are a mighty family, and we shall soon rule the world with a pewter fist.

Thus, I may also be referred to as “Lady Blackheart of Naugahyde”, “Lady Wendy Blackheart of House Naugahyde”, “Lady Naugahyde” or almost any combination thereof.

Anon, my dear boy/friend, is my Consort, also known as the Knave of Naugahyde.

School

I studied Mortuary Science. Yup. I used to touch dead people. I even have a degree in it, though, I don’t have my Funeral Director’s license. I have one more test I was supposed to take, but never got around to passing it. I don’t work in the business anymore. I do believe this gives me some of the ultimate goth cred I could possibly get.

No. I have never had sex in a coffin/in the funeral home/ in a cemetery. Its much less sexy when you know the people in the business. I would not want to get caught fucking in a cemetery by Tom, the caretaker, who knows my boss and comes to our Christmas Party.

As for the coffin – do you know how much time I spent dusting and vacuuming the casket display room!?! Do you really think I’m going to risk smudging, denting or scratching those caskets?

But yes, I have lain in a casket. They’re rather comfortable.

I can also find the carotid artery with my eyes closed.

I could probably hide a body better than anyone you know.

My dead peopleness pops up now and then. I’m not bad at hauling around people bigger than me, and lifting up dead weight for mummification.

I’m also very difficult to squick out. Once you’ve been covered with someone else’s blood and guts, after they died, and you don’t know them, things tend to bother you less.

Then I started going to school again, and was studying English and Anthropology, which I was double majoring in. I like these much better than the dead people. I was never really a hard science person.

However, I left real life school and was taking classes online, towards  B.A. in Cultural Studies with a concentration in Literature. I was planning to be a librarian or something, since that would have made my family happy.

I didn’t like online classes at all, and when a chiropractor friend commented on my ‘good hands’ and said I should be a massage therapist, I told him he was fucking crazy.

Then I thought about it, and looked into it, and realized he might not be that crazy.

Now I’m almost done with my massage therapist training. I will be a Licensed Massage Therapist soon. I have been studying both Swedish and Shiatsu massage, and I’m very drawn to Shiatsu, as well as other aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I’m also pretty damn good at it. Go me!

No, I don’t need anyone to practice on. Nor do I do anything that in anyway resembles non-legitimate massage practices, nor will I massage your penis/prostate/while I’m naked.

What do I do when I’m not blogging or fucking?

Well,  lots of stuff!

Right now, school comes first, so I’m pretty busy with that. I’ll be done soon though, thank god! I can’t wait to get out there and start massaging.

I spend a lot of time in Philadelphia, as my boy/friend lives there. I will be moving there once I’m done with school. Its a lovely little city. I mean, its not NYC, but it had things I love, like my boy, trees, and reasonably priced housing. And Philly Cheesesteaks. Mmm…

When I can, I attend a variety of BDSM and Sex Positive events in NYC and Philly. I also have lately had the chance to teach classes at some of these events, which makes me happy. ^_^

I read. A lot.

Fiction, Non fiction, kids books, adult books…You name it.

Some fiction favourites: Harry Potter, The Black Jewels Trilogy, Discworld, American Gods, The Mists of Avalon, His Dark Materials, Gone with the Wind, Lord of the Rings, The Inkheart Trilogy, A Streetcar Named Desire, Smoke and Mirrors, Fragile Things, Old Possums Book of Practical Cats, Lord of The Flies, I am Legend..all sorts of Fiction.

As for non fiction, I like Biographies, True Crime, Historical Romance, Poetry by Aliester Crowley and Stan Rice, books about diseases and other medical things, especially weird medical things, like conjoined twins and the elephant man, ect.

I have a particular interests in Fairy Tales – I collect The Andrew Lang Edited Coloured Fairy Books, specifically the ones from the 1950’s. I tend to snap up any interesting looking collection I can, along with collectible fairy books.

Tied to my interest in Fairy Tales is my deep abiding love of Mythology, Folklore and Folkways, Urban Legends, and other such things. (I think this also all ties into my interest in Anthropology and Sociology. If I could stay in college forever, I so would.)

I sort of collect Tarot Cards. Lately, I’ve been finding out the cards I’ve bought and saved have been meant for other people, and I lovingly pass them along when I meet them. I read using the Rider Waite deck, and I use several other decks for studying. I firmly believe that there is a deck of tarot cards suited for everyone.

I do counted cross stitch and needle point. Mostly counted cross stitch. I love that shit. It pleases my OCD. I do some other crafts, here and there. I also love to bake.

I’m kind of like Susie Homemaker, on crack.

So tell me about this boy/friend!

Well, his name is Anon Blackheart, and he’s tall, blond and dreamy!

I met Anon at Dark Odyssey Summer Camp 2009 by accident – he showed up at my cabin, which used to be the regular cabin of a mutual friend of ours who had been moved that year. I was hanging up lights and wearing my ‘Destroy All Vampires‘ shirt.  He was wearing a kilt and was super dreamy. My friends Don and Ivy like to say that they saw the moment we fell in love. We had a beer, and were flirty, and then met up again at dinner. We made a date for midnight swimming, and then he followed me out on the porch while I was heading to the toilet and he made out with me while I had to pee very badly. I wanted to keep kissing him, but I *really* had to pee.

He found me in the dungeon while I was giving a friend a massage, and once I was done, well….lets just say we never made it to the pool.

We spent the whole week together, when I wasn’t doing my work shift. Hell, even the gangbang I organized for my friend was in the same area as the Midnight Seduction game he was running. (That was totally coincidental, BTW. I organized the gangbang before I even got to the camp.)

In February 2010, I collared him at Winter Fire, and things are still going strong. I am in teh love!

So, tell me about your rats!

Sadly, I had to find new homes for my rats, due to moving in with a family member (that whole not having a job thing puts a crimp in paying rent!)

Crispin moved into a vet’s office out in Queens, which was great for him, because he was getting old and needed special care. The other six furkid went to live with a lovely poly triad in Yonkers, who have rats of their own. They rock for being wonderful enough to adopt SIX of my kids!

At last count, I owned seven rats at the , 3 girls (Esme, Gytha, and Little Miss V) and 4 boys (Crispin, and Harry, Jack of Tails and McFly). I had four other boys who passed away (Boris, Buck, Anton and Odin, poor babies)

Why rats? Well, at a very bad point in my life, I was, despite having many friends and a wonderful boyfriend, very lonely, very depressed, and I wanted a pet. Pets help. Cats were not allowed in my building, plus Thing 1 hated ‘em. Jerk.

So, at the urging of a fellow ratlady friend, I went for rats. I’ve always liked them. They’re small, furry, and can live in a cage. Plus, they’re smart and adorable. I loved my furkids, and they loved me! I’m looking forward to sharing my life with rats again in the future.

Please show us a picture of your hat, since it (is one of the things that) makes you so awesome.

    Also, more rat pictures.
