Review: Pink Glow Bubbles

So, on Sunday night I did awful things to my boy involving rubber bands, rope, clothes pins, and having him lick his own come off my boots (HOT! SO FUCKING HOT!)

I also had the chance to make use of the boy’s bathtub, as I don’t generally get to take baths where I live. Too many people around, and only one bathroom.  So I figured that after said scene, having a lovely bubble bath would be nice for both of us. Bubble baths make for great aftercare. At least they always do in my head.

The fact that I wound up being the one crying during said bubble bath is beside the point, and a topic for another post – top drop. The bath itself, however, was quite lovely!

The directions on the Pink Glow Bubbles said to leave the bubbles in light for a while to let them charge their glowing power, so we left them in the bathroom with the light on while we ate, hung out, and played. So it was in the light for several hours.

Once the boy was untied and brushing his teeth, I started running water and adding the bubble bath – I think I must have poured in half the bottle! I don’t do no half assed bubble baths. If I take one, there better be goddamn bubbles everywhere, and they better big big and foamy and bubbly and if they could produce a glass of nice red wine, so much the better.

And let me tell you, these bubbles were pretty fantastic! Big, solid foamy bubbles. Wendy was pleased. We climbed in, with my back to the wall and the boy with his chest against my back between my legs, so I could pet and cuddle him. Life is good.

Even better? No icky scents attached to the bubbles. I’m really picky about scent, and when I can’t sniff something before I get it I almost always go for unscented. I won’t even use babypowder scented deoderent, I’m that picky.  So the bubbles not having a scent, other than that of a light soap, was a big plus for me.

Plus, they felt nice on my skin. They didn’t leave me feeling greasy, soapy or dry after we rinsed and washed up in the shower.  And the boy’s skin was lovely and smooth and unscented except for his smell.  So I was happy.

Overall, the Pink Glow Bubbles were a great bubble bath. The only thing they didn’t do…was glow.

Nope, no glowing. I’m not sure why, because we exposed them to light for ages, and turned out the lights while we were in the tub, and shut the blinds, but alas, no glowing!

However, I don’t think the lack of a glow was a detraction from these bubbles at all – everything else about them was *amazing*. I will totally use these again. You can’t argue with big solid foamy bubbles, even if they don’t glow in the dark!
