Heart Full Of Black

I’ve decided I’ll be writing about camp differently this year. Last year, I wrote it out day by day, which was kind of boring. Who cares about me going to dinner? This year, I’ll be writing it up out of order, and writing up individual scenes and various thoughts I had during camp.

For example; one evening I was walking back to my cabin, and kept finding my foot sticking to my sandle.  No matter what I did, I couldn’t fix it, and finally gave up and switched shoes. I was talking to my travel companions about this on the way home.

“My sandals were sticky yesterday. I think I got come in my shoes at camp!” They roared with laughter. “You know, anywhere else, I’d be pissed to have come on anything at all, even on like, pants or underwear. But at camp, I get come on my shoes, and I’m simply mildly annoyed.”

And where else in my life could I even get come on my sandals?

See? Camp has magic. It even makes the OCD among us relax.

I’m also going to be doing something I’ve never done before, and hope doesn’t offend the bloody world. I really want to go to Winter Fire this year. It is going to be on the weekend of my birthday! And while I’m working when temp work arrives, and interviewing/job hunting like crazy, I’m still not in the best financial place to make it.

While I’ll be scrimping and saving on my own, I’m also putting up a button for donations.
